UK Bodybuilding competitions take place throughout most of the year &
their are some really well organised & well run events - most are run by one
of the more established federations - there are however some which are run
as independent shows & are equally as good, and sometimes even better, than
some of their more established counterparts. All of the organisations have
their own rules & expectations, especially in terms of women's bodybuilding,
as to what they expect from the athletes on stage so before deciding to do a
show contact the organisation or person who is running the event juts
to make sure that what you think the judges are looking for is in fact true.
On this that applies to all shows is on stage presentation - you can
train like a pro, eat like a pro and take the same supplements etc etc as
they do - but if you don't present yourself on stage properly then all of
your effort will have been wasted. NO Professional Bodybuilders for example
will wait until the day of the show before just "slapping" on some tan in

Bodybuilding Competition
Preparation Diet & Training
Pre-contest dieting is a science, but unfortunately is an arena filled
with myths and old wives tales! It is especially difficult for Natural
Competitors but with the correct advice and religiously sticking to the
program, great results can be achieved. We recommend for all a MINIMUM of
16-20 weeks to prepare for a show. Many people try to prepare to quickly
and simply starve themselves pre-contest producing an emaciated flat
appearance on stage in fact many people who looked both great &
promising in the gym, gradually shrink away all of their hard gained
muscle tone & size in order to shred away the excess fat. You need to hit
the stage looking lean and full.
16 weeks Pre-Contest Program
This
is a 100% individualized program designed specifically for you constructed
by someone who works with the IFBB Pros back stage at major shows in the
USA, such as the Arnold Classic. We have access to the most up to date
ways to diet, and supplement, to give the best results possible.
We
will need photographs of you front/back & sides and accurate measurements.
This should include height and weight. Based upon this depending if you
are a man or a woman (and if so are you doing a Physique or Figure
Competition) we will aim to get you on stage looking as good as you can.
This will depend on you following the program the only person you cheat
by cheating is yourself!!
Based upon your own circumstances and food likes/dislikes we will create a
food, diet & supplementation program to help you achieve your goals. Your
diet and training will be evaluated weekly depending upon your progress,
and adapted if necessary.
